The agency was established in 1933, in the same location as you find it today. In fact, Roe Insurance is the longest continuously run business in Downtown. It started with a barber shop in the front and the insurance office (one desk) in the back. The business has grown steadily over the years, but the mission is still the same – to provide personal, friendly service along with experienced advice. You can’t get a haircut anymore, however.
Roe Insurance is comprised of people who grew up in the area, live in, and are active in the community. The agency generally serves all of Monroe County. Representing insurance companies such as Auto-Owners and Citizens, along with some specialty carriers, Roe Insurance can provide individuals with auto, home and life insurance. It also has experience taking care of the needs of businesses from small store fronts to large manufacturing concerns. As one might expect, the agency also covers many farming operations in the area.
As life-long residents, we know the area, potential hazards and opportunities, and have helped acclimate a number of new-comers to the community, while providing the very important protection and peace of mind that insurance affords.
